Developed for Commercial Spaces - The steel version of this low armchair is much heavier (32lb) than the aluminum version (13lbs), making it a great choice for commercial spaces with high wind.
The Luxembourg Low Armchair is one of the foundational pieces for this classic Fermob collection. Named after the famous Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, this collection was born of a collaboration between Fermob’s CEO, Bernard Reybier, and prolific French designer, Frederic Sofia. Reybier commissioned Sofia to reimagine and redesign the classic SENAT chairs that populated the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens, and in turn, Sofia set out to study every inch of the original chairs so he could reinvent a more modern, comfortable chair that invited the gardens’ guests to sit and better enjoy the expansive space. This particular piece embodies the Parisian invitation to simply relax and take in the beauty of the of all that outdoor spaces have to offer.
Please note: As the raw material, steel, is subject to corrosion (rust) near salt air conditions and chlorinated pools, Fermob recommends customers in these locations choose one of Fermob's Collections made of aluminum. How long corrosion takes depends on the environment the furniture is in and has much variation across the country.
